My son has a very mild hypospadia and I have decided to switch Pediatricians after I informed my sons Doctor that I refused to have this very risky , dangerous procedure preformed on my baby. He then proceeded to guilt and shame me commenting "it's not your choice to choose this for your son ... He will be made fun of etc . Etc" . I refuse to return my child to his practice .   Pulling back the foreskin is not recommended. For most children the foreskin does not retract until 10 years age or older. A prepubescent child has no need for foreskin retraction. At this age (three) the foreskin is mostly fused to the glans. Pulling it bact causes tears and is excrucistingly painful for the boy. Until your child has finished puberty there is no need to clean under it. At this stage it is naturally self cleansing. You wouldn't pry open a baby girl's vagina, rip the hymen and forcibly douche her. Same principal applies with baby boys. All you need to do is clean the outside of the penis like you would a finger. Leave the inside of his penis alone. When he is old enough you will need to instruct him to pull himself back and rinse only with clean water. This should be part of your birds and bees talk when he is 13 to 15 years old. The glans is supposed to be an internal organ like the eye is. The eye is self cleaning too. I was there for a few months while my dad was sick and I had to take my little guy to a doc there for his regular check ups (this was 2 years ago and he was just a wee baby ) and The doc I saw was HORRIBLE! he ran me down for not having him circed then he told me to force retract and as he said it he did, I yelled and slapped his hand and told him to NEVER touch my baby again. I was scared!!! I told him his regular doc told me to NEVER do that and it can cause harm if done. Needless to say it fell on deaf ears. I sent the hospital a report of what had happened and I also sent the doc LOTS of links and info to educate him. I know it didn't change anything as my MIL works there and she told me it just got tossed (she is just as bad on that subject) and I will never take my son back there. We will be moving to the Princeton/ Elk River area. But I don't mind driving to get a good doc!!! Please send me any recommendations you have as I am leery of ever going to a doc there after my horrid experience."

There is a little redness to the tip of his foreskin isn't even hurting him or tender or anything possible UTI (better safe then sorry need it checked out) The doctors in my area are all Jewish and if they even try to mention circumcision I will flip out!! We have been to our normal doctor who seemed quite shocked that he even still had his foreskin so was already recommending circ before even looking at the problem!
