  Helping a mate decide between three venues for her wedding. One of the venues is Belair House. Has anyone had a wedding or function at this venue? Does anyone know of anywhere else nearby that's similar for a small wedding (50 people). She's looking at Eltham Palace and a few venues in Greenwich and Richmond. She wants to stick in South London.

  Horniman is extremely expensive as you have to build the catering kitchen from scratch, I worked out I wouldn't get much change from 16 k just for the venue and the set up costs. We held ours at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, they were very reasonable, I got venue, all drinks, wedding breakfast for about 5 k for 50 people. http://www.pembroke-lodge.co.uk oh and it's beautiful!!!

  I second Jodie Littlewood recommendation of Pembroke Lodge. It's a beautiful venue with great staff, and the whole thing has been reasonably priced... well, as much as a wedding ever can be! It's certainly the best and chepest place we looked at, and those two things don't often come together in one fantastic venue!
