  Help! My mother is not in good health and is having to go to physical therapy twice a week. Does anyone know of a service that could take her to her doctor appointments & bring her home? I'm having a hard time taking off so much time from work. She uses a walker or a prong cane. I drive an F250 truck & it is nearly impossible for her to get in and out of it. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

  I just googled "medical appointments transportation for elderly" and quite a few options came up. This one stuck out to me if it serves her specific area. City of San Antonio Senior Transportation Services- Supportive Services for the Elderly Project. Main Office: 210-207-8198 Reservation Hotline: 210-207-6680 May need to call and make sure everything is legitimate. Or maybe call nursing homes/assisted living places- they may have programs that they use that may be open to the public. Or if you can talk to a social worker at her hospital or docs office (I know I'm going to do my best to have these kind of resources for my future patients, maybe her doc does!). Hope she gets to feeling better!
