Yep, depends on where, budget and preferences about parking. In some cities, you pay thru the nose for parking at a hotel and others, it's free or real cheap. I've asked for Priceline bidding help (re: zones) and hotels in general on places like http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/index.php (in the Happy Hour area, where you need to have an account to see it) and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/. Last time I was in So Cal was in September 2012. Won a bid for http://www.cpredondobeachhotel.com/ on Priceline that came out to $83.74/night, including tax and fees. I was there for http://www.altcarexpo.com/ in Santa Monica. Distance wasn't too horrible. Parking at hotel wasn't cheap but I didn't use it as there was plenty of free street parking nearby. Santa Monica hotels I think were not that cheap and parking was pricey there.
