  I need some help again. I'm hoping some of you can help me on a homeowners insurance claim issue. I filed a covered claim for water damage from a burst pipe between the walls. The backs of the base cabinets were damaged, among other things. My 1st issue with my insurance company is that they want to replace JUST my base cabinets with "similar" ones, since they were the only ones damaged. It sounds absurd to me that they can do this, since the new base cabinets won't exactly match the upper ones. Has anyone else experienced this before, or know how to best fight it? Also, I could use the names of some really good and inexpensive general contractors for drywall/painting and flooring work (as well as cabinetry, if I need it). Thanks.
