  Food recommendation My vet suggested we switch from grain free to a "standard" cat food until we can figure out the link between grain free foods and heart disease. I started researching cat foods again, and I'm having trouble finding a "quality" cat food that is not grain free. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  Right now until my kittens are older I'm just giving them canned food, Tiny Tiger brand. That said, I would highly recommend purchasing "The List" from Susan Thixton's site, TruthaboutPetFood.com I bought this year's and I think it's really worth the 10$. It's honestly worth even more and it's great that it's only 10$. She does a lot of independent investigation about the pet food companies and is a great advocate. For cats there are only wet foods listed since there are no dry foods that passed this year. There were dry foods in previous years. They also don't have kitten food.

  I think most of our members are trying to transition to cooking for their dogs or raw. :) Halo used to be owned by one of our members, Andi Brown. One place to check for dry food is dogfoodadvisor.com. Also, www.truthaboutpetfood.com. That said, we do have some members who have recommended Acana or Orijen. If anyone would like to chime in to help Katie out, please do!

  Can anyone recommend a good puppy food or a good website to order Professional Puppy Chow? We purchased our Shar-pei puppy last weekend and the breeder was feeding Professional Small and Medium Chicken and Barley Puppy Chow. We live in Kingsland, Ga and had to drive over an hour away today to buy more. I can't seem to find a good website that doesn't want to charge almost a cost of additional bag for shipping. So I'm thinking it may be easier to change her food, but I'm reluctant because she's doing awesome on it.

  My TruthaboutPetFood.com has been online since 2006. They purchased the domain in February 2012 (the .net).

  I'd rather use any kind of funds raised for testing of pet food rather than this. The PFI trying to steal website traffic of TruthaboutPetFood.com or trying to mislead consumers needs to be stopped - but I'm hopeful to find a lawyer that will do this on contingency. If we ever did a fund raiser - I want that to be for testing - to hold all of them more accountable.
