  Hello all, I live along the Mississippi River (about 10 miles SE) of New Orleans and I'm interest in obtaining my captains license... Anyone know of companies who hire FEMALES? ( I know I have to start at the bottom as a deckhand). I have a Bachelors Degree in Cardiopulmonary Science and have been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for about 12+ years now and am burned out on ER and ICU. I made awesome grades in Physics and the other physical sciences which I'm guessing will come in handy with the demanding MATH involved in getting my license. I applied for my TWIC card yesterday.   Keep checking AEP.com you will train in Convent after training you might get a boat at dockside just south of New Orleans

  Does anyone know of any safety inspector jobs near here? Or utility inspector? My husband is working in west Virginia and he wants to come home!! My husband has been in the oil field since he was 18. . He has been a welder, a Foreman on pipeline, and he is currently a senior utility inspector at a compressor station..
