About us
Acorn preservation is a small somerset building company that offers bespoke solutions that are tailored to meet customer needs. We cover all aspects of the building trade with a proven track record for quality and commitment, yet still maintain a friendly, professional "down to earth" approach respected by our clients.
The Managing Director of Acorn Preservation started his construction career serving an apprenticeship with his fathers building company after leaving school. At the age of 24, he started trading independently under his own name - P.W Phibben General Builders.
In 1979 he became an approved contractor/installer of Sovereign Chemicals Damp and Timber Treatments and the new trading name, Acorn Preservation, was established.
After 40 years trading Acorn Preservation has also moved into the commercial sector and maintains shopping precincts as well as its domestic customers.
Since those humble beginnings Acorn preservation has grown into a company which covers all areas of the building trade, but still prides itself on having a friendly, professional "down to earth" approach with its customers.
