  About a month ago, we asked the group here for referrals to an area vet, as the one Molly had been seeing has decided to retire. Thanks to this kind and thoughtful group, we found her a wonderful new vet. Now I'm wondering, if you all could help us once again... we're in need of a groomer. The very nice person we have been taking her to see, is no longer working locally. Molly is a 13 year old "Fluffy" corgi. She has a sensitive back, and arthritis and weakness in both back legs. We need an experienced groomer who knows how to treat a double-coat, as well as handle her with care, hold her correctly, and ensure that she doesn't come home from a grooming session injured. She also has a significant problem with blow-drying (she won't tolerate it at all). Can anyone suggest someone we can take her to that would know how to deal with her special issues?

  We go to Poochy Couture in Coram, across from the Coram Diner, for about 5 years now. They were great with my Epi Husky who had trouble walking and staying up. They do the dogs at their appt. time, so you don't have to leave them all day unless you need to. Also very reasonably priced, IMO. Phone # 631-880-3505. Searching for a groomer is almost as difficult as finding a good Vet, good luck.
