About us
I find inspiration comes each day. It’s the little things that make you smile, the feeling of warm sun on your skin, the welcomeness of your loved ones company and most of all the ever present light. From the golden hues of the sun rising to the pastel tones of dusk, the brilliant illumination of summer to the softer shades of winter… that is the Joy of Light.
Photography has been a passion of mine for near two decades. It all started when my great grandmother gave me my very first point and shoot camera for winning a race at my school swimming carnival. Although I don’t still have the first photograph I took, I can still remember how it made me feel. I then progressed to high school with a thirst for all things art but still keeping a soft spot for using light to express and record my view of the world. I decided to continue my study of art and photography by completing my Advanced Diploma in Fine arts, majoring in Photography. Studying in this environment allowed me not only to expand my knowledge of all things photography, be it film or digital, but also gave me a great understanding and familiarity of art in its various forms and methods.
My aim, as your photographer, is to capture and record your special moments with great care and empathy. I like to take an unassuming approach to my photo shoots and want you to feel as comfortable as possible. I aim to capture the essence of your personality, the depth of your relationships and the joy of your occasion. I enjoy finding the natural beauty in all things and I aspire to celebrate that raw charm for what it truly is. No smoke and mirrors, just you and all that you are. I want to give you a lasting and real impression of the best times of your life; memories you can feel. It is my great pleasure to capture for you, the light of your world.
