  my vet recommends b vitamins for fleas. The brand I'm using (flea treats) says it helps with ticks as well. It won't take care of ones already on her since it take a while to take effect. My vet also likes this stuff http://www.buckmountainbotanicals.net/.../parasitedust.html it's on her flea prevention/treatment sheet so I'm not sure about ticks. Maybe Richard's Organics Flea & Tick spray? I used it on fleas but I was doing so much then I don't know if it work, it kills ants quite well on contact and it's non toxic but it's pretty oily. Lesley Dipple most likely means diatomaceous earth. It's basically tiny crushed shells from a type of "hard shelled algae." It's not poisonous but it's slightly abrasive - more so to tiny creatures like insects. I'm not sure how you would use it though, and it's a fine powder that you are supposed to avoid inhaling. I've only read about it for garden use.
