  As a former realtor, I'd totally recommend Amerispec. For sure, use someone who belongs and has been certified by the Canadian Association. http://www.cahpi.ca/index.php?lang=en There is one person who works in the city that bills himself as the President of the Manitoba Home Inspectors, but if you dig deeper, he's also the only member, as he didn't qualify to Canadian standards. The ones licensed by Canadian Home Inspectors have completed rigorous training and have completed x amount of inspections to attain their certification.
