  For all those looking to get their houses painted this summer, as a professional paint contractor, here are a few tips: 1. Call early in the year to get an estimate as painter's get incredibly busy in the summer. Do not expect to call in July to have your house painted in August. 2. Only hire a licensed/bonded/insured painter. The guy who is really cheap but not licensed can only be trouble. 3. Get a referral, either through this page or friends. Most of the professionals in Monroe are known and very good at what they do, which is why they have been around for years. 4. Do not expect a bid over the phone. You may be able to describe the job you want completed very thoroughly but any professional needs to SEE the job before giving you a competitive bid. 5. Do not think your paint finish will last for 10 or 15 years in our climate. If you let it go for too long it will only cost more in the end.
