  So I have finally managed to get up onto the roof and spray water all around the roof lights and seams. I cannot for the life of me find where the water is getting in. So I'm gong to take the roof lights back out again. Apply silkaflez221 around the joint and leave to set before I tighten up this time. Hopefully that will work. As you can see from the photos I have just gunked Sikaflex over the joints in the roof in an attempt to water proof it. Now there is water just appearing in the middle of the roof. There is no joints around where there is water and it was behind the insulation so it can't be condensation. Is there any professional roof leak experts I can pay to come and advise please? Is there anything I can just paint over the whole roof to stop any leaking? Cheers

  captain tolley creeping crack jack is not too expensive and goes deep into small crack. many vanners use it instead of replacing windscreen seal - as a temp solution while ur waiting for new

  The bane on most boats at some point are those dreaded drips and leaks from the topsides, be they hatches, ports or fittings. We have 3 leaking Lewmar Ocean Series hatches that "I know" need to be fully re-bedded and renewed ... but from what I've seen, it is pricey. I've tried a few temporary fixes that have failed (like my attempt at rebedding followed by windshield "liquid" silicone sealant). My latest working fix has the boat looking as if it were a derelict (sun-resistant duct tape). I need some suggestions to either tie us over, more affordable hatch repair or self-fix suggestion?   Advice required! I've recently had my van converted. On the weekend I used the van and noticed a slight damp patch on the bed below the roof light. I checked that it was closed properly and went on the roof to check the sealant. All seemed ok, so thought it may have been a drink spillage or something. However, I laid some newspaper in the same spot and left it over night as the weather was miserable in Leeds. It's very apparent that the roof light is leaking (MPK VISION STAR PRO ROOFLIGHT). The yellow highlighted area is where the water is collected and dropping down. Has anyone had problems with these in the past? Any recommendations how to resolve it? Thanks in advance Ryan
