Located near the river with loads of fishing boats the kids might like. Loved that there was a supermarket close by as well. Lovely gym at their partner hotel a block away. U Bahn a step away. I personally think that the transport in Berlin is SOOOOO good that location doesn´t really matter, as long as an U or S Bahn is nearby. Worth noting, but 110% NOT child friendly, we stayed at http://www.propeller-island.de/english/2/4/ also. A little more expensive, totally worth it, listed as one of the most unique hotels in the world. It´s fantastic. Again, not for kids, but we loved it so much I had to mention it.
