About us
Double M Mowing is a new business to the Mclean/Hopkins county area, but the spirit of the company originated several years ago in the dreams of three neighborhood kids. The predecessor to this business was the "Lawn Rangers" based out of Sacramento Ky. People may well remember seeing three teenage boys towing push mowers from a string tied to the seat of their bicycles, all across town mowing grass for the community. For nearly five summers those kids learned lessons about business, ethics, and hard work. For nearly five summers those kids improved their skills with yard work. Those kids learned the difference between a flower and a weed, the difference between weed killer and fertilizer, the difference between green grass and dead grass, and they learned what makes a satisfied customer.
Upon graduating high school those kids ended up taking different routes in life and the "Lawn Rangers" disbanded. Now the business is back with one original crew member and ready to serve the community once again. The name has changed, some of the faces have changed, some of the equipment has changed, but the ideals are the same.
We want to mow your grass, trim your shrubs, build your deck, mulch your flower beds, build your flower beds, and what ever else you have to do. Our concept is simple, if you don't 'want' to do it, we probably do. We will weed your landscaping, mow your ditch, clean your gutters, clean your drain tile, mulch your flower beds even if we do not cut your grass.
