  I need your help. My elderly neighbor needs a handyman to do some work on his house and some landscape work. Some painting, masonry work on steps and some wrought iron railings need some scraping and repainting. His son (lives in FLA) wants to take care of this. Please send me names of any handyman that you know who is looking for some additional work in Northborough. Thanks.

  Hello David Jacobs. I cannot help you personally because I'm staying on Cape Cod temporarily. Please call Jocelyn Erhardt at the Senior Center 508-393-5035. She can help you get in touch with Friends of Northborough and/or the Northborough Neighbor Brigade. They send members over to help. Often it's the Boy or Girl Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Explorers, and Northborough residents who just plain help other residents. When I was on Mayflower Road, I remember one day looking out of the window because I heard people milling about. What I saw were five young men with the scout leader cleaning up the yard. They also offered to wash the car. I promise you that you won't be disappointed. I suspect that a nice donation would be very much appreciated. Also, you can call June David-Fors at the Family Services 508-393-5020. She may also have some good suggestions. The admin's name is Kathy. I got lots of help when my health was poor and couldn't do much for myself. You will be in very good hands.
