  Alistair C. wrote: My fiance and I picked out an engagement ring to reflect our love of the San Juan mountains and who better to have it designed by than Ouray Silversmiths? Unfortunately, after only a couple of weeks of wearing it the layers of 14k gold started separating and falling apart. Ouray Silversmiths asked us to send the ring back and took full responsibility for the failures of the ring but refuse to give us a refund. They now have the flawed ring and over $1500 from us while they hide behind the excuse of "no refunds for custom work" - even if the work results in a ring that isn't fit for purpose. Update - The owner and his friends have responded to this review very negatively, accusing us of damaging the ring, questioning the longevity and quality of our relationship and many other hurtful accusations. I would avoid this company if at all possible, and give your business to one of the many other wonderful jewelers in Colorado, and have a much better experience!
