I'm looking for somewhere to purchase a mulberry tree and a paw paw tree. Is there anywhere locally that may carry these items? I may order from Edible Landscaping in VA but I was hoping to find them closer to home.

Niche Gardens has Pawpaws. www.nichegardens.com I don't know a source for Mulberry trees, but I have one. They are a little messy, but the birds love them and I enjoy watching the birds. I have never had a single fruit because the birds get there first. It's a tall tree.
Where would I find a plant nursery in the Triangle with reasonable prices? I live in Chapel Hill so one in CH or Durham would be preferable! I'm looking for indoor plants to fill out my new room. If there are some nice outdoor plants that catch my eye, who knows, I may get some of those too. I know I can go to Lowes or Home Depot, but thought it'd be more fun to go to a local nursery.

Check out plants for sale at the [NC Botanical Garden]( http://ncbg.unc.edu/plant-sales/) in CH. Also check out [Niche Gardens]( http://www.nichegardens.com/) I'm a fan of both places because they emphasize native species.

Niche gardens out past carrboro specializes in native plants, they're very knowledgeable! Great place to get advice and just the right thing. Not all that cheap, though. NC botanical or Duke garden plant sales are awesome, but you have to go in knowing what you're looking for.
I would love to grow wisteria....does it do OK in our clay soil? Where can I buy one?
Also curious about buying a mimosa tree.
Kyle M. replied:
This website has a list of native alternatives to mimosa trees: http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/node/29 Here's the native wisteria I mentioned: http://www.nichegardens.com/catalog/item.php?id=2129&PHPSESSID=4 f48 e79 b58792 ca4 c986772 aa6 d13685

Wisteria is super invasive so be prepared for it to take over everything lol. I know Niche Gardens in Chapel Hill sells a native variety of wisteria which is much easier to tame than it's Asian counterpart you see on the side of the road here.
