About us
Kindy Dance Time is offered at 36 locations throughout the Victoria and WA Metro areas.
At Kindy Dance Time we believe learning dance should be FUN! But behind the scenes this dance programme has been carefully designed to ensure these little dancers are fully prepared for a life of purposeful movement and appreciation of this wonderful art form.
Kindy Dance Time is a unique dance programme just for toddlers and preschoolers aged 2-5. We do not enforce or instruct a specific technique, but rather lay the grounding foundations of dance. Our aim is to encourage and broaden their love of dance by exposing them to a wide range of music. We limit class numbers to ensure the children are not overwhelmed and can receive quality tuition from the teacher throughout the class.
Classes are divided into different age groups for toddlers and preschoolers from 2 – 5 years of age, so that the key areas of development for each age group can be focused on. The Kindy Dance Time programme has enchanting, age related themes which engage children and capture their imaginations. Our themes are non gender specific and encourage boys to join in the FUN too!
The children are enchanted with 3 different lesson themes per term, so they enjoy the familiarity of routine coupled with new challenges. This results in a fantastic sense of achievement and loads of FUN!
Kindy Dance Time dance classes are fast-paced to keep toddlers and preschoolers engaged and include the introduction to a wide range of dance and music styles, relating to the specific theme. Musical instruments, props, song and free dance are incorporated into Kindy Dance Time, and also more structured dances which stimulate the development of coordination and motor skills.
Children experience dancing in groups, in partners and on their own which adds great value to their social and emotional development. Lessons include educational components, such as shapes, numbers or colours for younger children, and cultural awareness, anatomy or... show more the environment for the older age groups.
In the younger age groups – Kindy A classes – parent participation is necessary. This allows you to spend unique time with your little one as they learn and blossom, and also gives them the best chance to gain the most out of our programme.
As they grow older and progress into Kindy B classes, the children will start to interact directly with their teacher and you will be able to sit back and enjoy watching your child’s progress. Parents are ALWAYS welcome in our studios!

It is a great dance programme that has been specifically designed with dancers and early childhood professionals so its very age appropriate with age specific classes. Classes fill very quickly do its a good idea to register your interest for an upcoming term. The website is: www.kindydancetime.com.au. My personal advice is to steer away from "ballet" or other formal styles at this tender age.
