  Hey all! I was wondering if I could get some vet suggestions. I tried to scroll down a bit but hadn't come across any recently. I just adopted a little kitten who was just old enough to get fixed on Tuesday. The shelter said that while the animals generally leave healthy they always recommend getting a regular checkup, which I knew to do after doing research before adopting. Back when I lived in Vermont we had maybe two options so I'm a bit lost here haha. I don't live far from the McCormick Animal Clinic so I was thinking maybe there. Has anyone been? I've also passed a Value Vet on the way to Walmart but have no info about them either. I'm also a little bit worried since she has no interest in the litter box (have a Breeze box and a regular small box) but there have been no surprises that I've found, yet. I'm sure she's probably just stressed and I can tell she's scared being somewhere new but I can't help worry some since the youngest I've ever adopted before was 4 months old. Thanks!

  Also to Suzanne Dittfurth, this is the Breeze system: http://www.tidycats.com/products/breeze It's very easy to use and works great! There's also really no smell with it. The urine drains down into the bottom onto a pad that you replace maybe once a week (depending on how many cats you have) then you only need to scoop out the clumps. Less messy and time consuming. They do say that when you switch your cat from a regular box to the Breeze to keep using both boxes at first and scoop out their clumps and place them into the new box so they'll realize that it's a new one to use. I'm going to eventually do that with my new one after she's more comfortable.

  All right cat moms, I need some help. We've had to move Rudy's litter box into our bedroom, and now he's tracking an obscene amount of cat litter onto the bed. We have one of those litter mate pads on the ground in front of his box, but his big ol' paws collect so much litter it just doesn't do any good. Currently we're using Tidy Cats's 24/7 protection scoop-able litter, because we're in a small space and it seems to be working odor wise. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as those "natural" litters go? Is it safe to just up and change his litter?

  Oh gross! I was looking into a new litter box called the Breeze from Tidy cats. It has a more pellet shaped litter than the sand. Seems to be getting good reviews. Might be my next step. http://www.tidycats.com/Products/Breeze
