About two years ago, my son's iPod had a broken screen, so I brought it to Double T, and they had it repaired the next day. I was pleased with the service, so when it broke again earlier this year, I took it back there. Big mistake.
I dropped it off in early May. I called about it every few days, because we were moving to another town in June. Same answer every time, "I don't know the status of repairs. My technician works offsite. I'll have him call you." I never heard from a technician. When I asked the man on the phone if it seemed like a poor way to do business for the person in contact with the public to have absolutely no idea what was happening in his own store, he got defensive and angry.
This went on for over three months. THREE MONTHS to fix an iPod screen. Finally, at the beginning of August, I told him that if I didn't get it back, I was going to contact the police and the BBB. That finally got the technician to call me back, but he told me that he had no idea where the iPod was. They offered to send us a different, refurbished iPod in its place, which we agreed to. It arrived last week. The one we left with them in May was 16 GB. The one they mailed to us is 8 GB. These guys are incompetent liars and crooks. Do not take your devices to them.
