I've been since then searching for that restaurant without any success. The problem is my ex has zero interest in ever speaking to me again (I broke her heart for non-scumbag reasons). I remember the restaurant was in Manhattan we had to walk downstairs to it and interior was dimly lit with multiple bootHs that were behind paper walls. it definitely was a popular spot for Japanese businessmen who all sat in the back where there were multiple wooden tables. The one dish that stood out for me was a type of blackened salmon that came on top of rice and the price was extremely affordable. I know these descriptions are extremely vague but if anyone can start throwing ideas at me I would love to find this place again. I know it was below Midtown but that is all I can remember about the location. thanks in advance!
