Just learned the hard drive needs replacing at a cost of $220. I'm torn between repairing it and finding a newer used one. Re-PC only has one and it's 5 years old and $660. Any geeks out there with an opinion? Advice where to look for a newer used one?

  Not sure of the price or availability in India but the most economical, portable and versatile purchase would be a tablet like Dell Venue 8 pro (list price $299, on sale on Monday at Microsoftstore.com for $99). Plug that to a monitor and Bluetooth keyboard and mouse an you get a full-fledged computer at work or home. Some good ultrabook a include Samsung Ativ series, Lenovo yoga latest model and Asus Zenbook.
