I've seen several tea related posts a know of a tea party room or 2. I have recently become enamored with tea but find the store shelves woefully lacking. Anyone know good places to get tea in the TC?

I'm a huge fan of teasource's sample days as a way to try new things - http://www.teasource.com/teas/SampleDays.html - and last year they did a great panel at CONvergence. I'm hoping for another one of those this year!

TeaSource is one of the best places around, both for trying new things and buying hard-to-get things.

TeaSource is really good with a fine selection. I don't go there as often as I like because, even though my veins have more tea than plasma in them, I can't afford it. I probably drink way too much tea for the pricier teas. So I stick with Twinings and PG Tips. Good serviceable teas. I also shop from United Noodles' tea section for Oolongs and Pu er varieties. Target recently downsized their Twinings selection, but wisely kept Twinings Earl Grey. For more than that I'll probably have to visit World Market.

I am definitely a tea snob/geek. Loose leaf companies have started making what they call sachets, which is loose leaf tea in a silk sachet. It's a better quality tea than what you normally find in stores. You can buy Harney & Sons sachets at Target and Barnes and Noble. My fav of theirs is Indian Nimbu - caramel & lemon. I definitely second (or third or whatever) TeaSource. I've spent way too much money there but it's been worth it.
