I find that a lot of times, when working with business owners, I get honest about my situation and finances and offer to write them good reviews on yelp and google review. Believe it or not, they pay attention and are very grateful for it. I've since been a VIP customer at Lexus of Glendale with a number of perks, was able to get away with a lot of things at Archstone and get really good service at my optometrist and Physician's office.
