  No matter where you go have an independent mechanic check it out! Most places will do a pre-purchase inspection. It may cost $75-100 but that's better than buying a 10 k piece of crap! Also please realize that used car lots really don't know much about the cars because they buy them at auction so the really don't know much more about it than you do! It's a bit of a distance for you but GR-Motor Company in Garner are some really nice folks. www.gr-motorcompany.com
