Question about rubber weather stripping for windows Hi all! Wondering if anyone has any recos for window repairs/maintenance. I had my window checked out by my super because rainwater from the outside was seeping inside. He said it's due to the rubber weather stripping having deteriorated. He recommended a place but I called them and it's a $425 minimum - the window guy hasnt even seen the place and just said $425 minimum for ANY kind of job order that they do. I'm not sure how these things go and I wanna make sure I'm getting a fair deal. [Here's the window.](https://i.imgur.com/3JJWFZm.jpg) if anyone also has recos for people who can service this, lmk!

Does your window slide open, or does it pivot out (like a casement window)? If you're looking for parts to try to fix it yourself, check out [www.swisco.com](https://www.swisco.com) . I bought parts from there for my windows. I've called Unique Glass and Door LLC Jersey City (201) 618 7182 for a quote, and they were reasonable (\~$350) compared to a couple other quotes I got. I eventually decided to just fix it myself since it didn't seem that hard, I had time, and why not? Hope this helps.
