Just a question: how much do the following more or less go for:
1. Videographer
2. DJ

Is there someone that does photography & videography together in cape winelands area or near?

Are there any DJs out there that don't charge R4000 - R7000?
David B. replied:
Thank you Marilyn. Beverley, As much as I'd like, I cannot offer the level of service I do legally for a wedding at below R4000 (I am however prepared to negotiate somewhat if you PM me). By law I have to be licensed to play music in the public environment and this then also compels me to use purchased (as opposed to pirated or YouTube ripped) music. Then over and above this, I offer full service wedding services which means I offer sound and music for the ceremony, canapes and reception with carefully selected playlists custom made for my clients. I set up three separate sound systems so that there is uninterrupted and flawless continuation between services. I offer wireless technology so that you have impeccably neat and safe setups throughout from ceremony to reception which includes headset and lapel microphones for the ceremony with added support for musicians, vocalists, etc. as well as a clean signal for videographers. I offer the same level of service right through to the reception where I firstly use multiple speaker setups on wireless technology to spread the sound evenly through the venue so that all of the guests can hear the speeches clearly and yet not be inconvenienced by excessively loud music at the tables during the dancing. I can probably go into so many details about what distinguishes a professional DJ from a cheapie including the fact that extensive up-lighting and dance floor lighting is included for free with every full service package my clients book as are unlimited client meetings and a site rehearsal/meeting, but probably the most important aspects are that: 1) I carry backup equipment for absolutely everything to the extent where I carry more backup gear than what most DJs show up with. 2) I am legal and licensed and carry all the required licensing and documentation with me to every wedding or event so that should the authorities do a spot check at your wedding, I can produce it and not result in your wedding being shut down. 3) I work on testing, selecting playlists, pre-selecting all the cables and gear I'd need on the day and actually set it up and run it before your wedding, and all this for the month before the actual wedding day. Have a look at my website to see the difference: http://weddingdj-on-call.co.za
