  There is a program through Suffolk County Sheriff's department that does safety checks and gives out brand new free car seats and booster seats to families that are in desperate need of one. The number is 6318523273, leave a message. There is a class that is mandatory to go to before you can receive a car seat or booster. Its a child safety car seat class which is very helpful......FYI it is also important if you do get used car seat or booster, check exp. And make sure the seat was never in a car accident. Once a car seat is in an accident it can not be used anymore!
