  I've heard there's a place somewhere along the Lea that reconditions starter motors. Anyone know I this is true and if so where/who to contact? My BMC 1.5 starter is being temperamental and needs looking at. Might work out cheaper to replace it but I would like to be sure before buying a new one for £290. Thanks for any tips.

  That sounds like Unistart, Unit 2 Iceland Wharf, Iceland Road, E3 2JP. 020 8983 9969. Just below Old Ford Lock, opposite Toolstation, Screwfix etc.
