  Going through a short-distance move and looking for a reliable, fairly-priced local mover. Hey r/fortworth, I'm going to be moving from one apartment to another about 1/4 of a mile away in about a month and a half and I'm trying to find a highly-regarded company that does local moves which will only take a few hours. I live on the third floor and it was a major pain moving the stuff myself and a family member a few years ago so I would like to eliminate some of the headache and hire a company this time (especially since I have more stuff coming out than I did going in). I did call one local mover that a coworker suggested to me (Firefighting Finest), but the guy I talked to on the phone gave me an estimate of $720 for two guys and one truck @ 4 hours. That is completely exorbitant for what I need done. It shouldn't cost me more than half that unless the rates have skyrocketed recently. Thanks in advance!
