  My old farm dog is in his last days -- and I let it go too long, waiting for my husband to get back into town. Today he can't get up and is in a lot of pain. Unfortunately it's a holiday weekend. Anyone know of a vet who might make a house call over the weekend in the Nelson-Castlegar area to euthanize him and take him back to his puppy romping pastures? Thanks!

  Aw sweet thing. Nelson Animal Hospital does Saturdays 250-352-7861. Drs Celeste and Leanne have been always amazing with us when our cats' times had come. And they will do housecalls too

  ISO a VET ... yes, not just me but the entire area of the West Boundary of BC needs a VET. Our local vet office closed down as the vet took her boyfriend to Sask to vet school and our area in now vet-less for someone who will do rural farm work, horses, etc and travel. The practice was located in Grand Forks but served a large rural area and 100s or 1000s of clients. From cats and dogs to horses and other livestock.
