Can anyone recommend a reasonable BMW mechanic in the area? Went to that Bavarian something shop on Platt once, good service but, VERY expensive (considerably more than dealer for a battery), need a more cost effective option. Thanks!!

Monaco is a ripoff. I used to have a mercedes and every time I went there it was $1000. Even if they didn't fix the problem they didn't credit the work that didn't fix my car. Mark at Bavarian is not cheap but is very good. Vahe's (818) 998-5406 on Winnetka is also good and less than Mark. I have had several BMW's and they just are not cheap cars to own.

Vahe's BMW. Saticoy and Winnetka. If there's a such thing as an "honest" mechanic, he truly is. My sister's car just got towed there this morning. Look out for a Red 3 Series. Tell Vahe the owner of that car referred you.
Does anyone know of a BMW mechanic who doesn't charge the earth and is very reliable? Tired of dealerships - thank you !!! West Hills, Canoga Park to Woodland Hills area preferred.

I hate to go to the dealership for a routine maintenance and pay 1.5X the value. Does anyone have a good and fair priced shop? I know about the one on Vanowen and Platt but have heard nothing. Surrounding areas ok. Thanks!
