Question? Are there any affordable workout classes nearby? Orange Theory sounds ok but not really what I am looking for. Anyone? Thanks in advance! I need to lose about 20 pounds and want to incorporate workouts

We're starting our annual 6-week Strength Challenge this Monday at https://www.facebook.com/216739638347087 fitmama in LaFox (~3 miles directly west on Keslinger from Delnor). Last year participants lost as much as 8 pounds of fat and gained as much as 6 pounds of muscle, which means a 300 daily calorie gain PER DAY - right before the holidays!!! You know what that means... more pecan pie for Thanksgiving! We have monthly and per-class rates. iamafitmama.com

Fitmama is awesome! Plenty of classes and personal training as well. Erin Schaefer is the best! Give them a try!
I'm looking for a personal trainer. I'm kind of picky lol. I am looking for someone that doesn't work in a gym but does one on one sessions. They need to be able to customize work-outs for each person and is also able to take into account prior and current injuries and modify workouts to accommodate. Thank you in advance!

Hi Michelle! Check out iamafitmama.com for my story and rates. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through NCSF and am currently working toward my NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist certifications. I work with many women of all ages with and without injuries and/or imbalances. The Power Plate is a great tool for working on these and there aren't many of us in the area who are specially trained on it. You would love it! Let me know if you'd like a one-on-one tour of the studio (located in LaFox)!

Erin Schaefer at FitMama would be able to help! She's awesome!
Recommendations on a good gym? The wellness center at delnor is my favorite, but way to expensive especially with childcare. I like to take classes. I don't do well "on my own" lol. I need to be told what to do. Any one try orange theory?

Fit Mama is awesome, very affordable, super supportive, has childcare and the BEST instructors. Barb Glennon from Delnor Fitness also teaches Pilates & Yoga at FitMama. Check out their website. I believe there is a trial package. I'd be happy to be your workout buddy next week if you want to try a class. www.iamafitmama.com
