  Good evening! I am on a mission to find a venue to hire for my 30th Birthday! A lot of places (community halls etc) will not allow parties for anyone between the ages of 11-60yrs. I am not the biggest fan of pubs/taverns etc (I would prefer somewhere private anyway), and most function spaces (eg Southport sharks etc) have a 50 person minimum or HUGE hire fees. I'll be having around 30 guests, mostly family. We are not big party people or huge drinkers, and we would love somewhere we can cater ourselves, especially since we have a lot of vegetarians! Does anyone have any ideas for somewhere? Have you organised a similar type of party? The party isn't until Saturday 18th December, but I am trying to finalise details so I can get invites out to interstate family! TIA!

  Clock Hotel Surfers gets recommended a lot on this page - council car park is just alongside and minimum spend is low - easy to reach so there is no hire fee. You can't cater yourselves though. http://www.theclockhotel.com.au/functions.php
