About us
A little about myself! I'm a self taught portrait photographer at Lake of the Ozarks. I fell in love with photography about a year ago and it has become an obsession for me.
How i became interested in photography: Well basically, I bought a camera so I could take pictures of my beautiful daughter because I couldn't afford to pay someone to take professional/high quality pictures of her on regular basis. I found out it wasn't as easy as it looked and there is actually much more to taking good photographs than having a nice/expensive camera and just snapping some shots. I've read and watched 1000's of hours of literature and tutorials on various photography subjects such as manual mode, aperture, natural light, studio light, focal length, flash photography, posing, but most importantly, LIGHTING, LIGHTING, AND MORE LIGHTING. I've come a long way and am finally very confident in my ability and skills. Oh, and lots and lots of practice!!!
I'm very affordable and I'm very good at what I do. I love what I do but I still only do this part time. My most important job right now is being a mother to my daughter. I usually won't book more than 1 or 2 full sessions a week because it takes me a very long time to process your photos. Plus, I want to make sure I have plenty of time to do a very good and thorough job so I give you photos you'll love!
I do engagement/couples, maternity, family, senior, and birthdays (not parties). I do not do weddings or newborn photography typically. I do not have the knowledge or skills needed for either as of now. I prefer shooting outdoors in natural light. I do own studio equipment as well but I don't have the space (currently) to have a studio set up all the time.
