  Hi all, I have a situation with our Nena that I thought I'd run by you because I don't want to leave any stones unturned. We have to leave our home for 2-3 months due to ice dam damage. Nena is our sweetheart but she is a reactive dog. She barks quite a bit and can be very loud. She lunges at strangers and dogs. We have tried to find a single family short term rental to no avail. She just wouldn't work at a complex. The only alternative will be to kennel her. The kennel that was highly recommended tells me I wouldn't be able to visit her during this 2-3 month period because it would be too stressful on her. I still have to identify other quality kennels to see if they all have the same policy. If anyone knows of a kennel that they can recommend I'd greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great. Thanks so much to anyone who made it through this long post!

  Deb just an FYI, the trainer I mentioned above, Carolyn from Wagtime Dog Training, who does "Boarding & Training" at SuperDogs, uses strictly positive reinforcement training techniques. And she is a member of PPG. http://www.wagtimedogtraining.net/about_us

  I was wondering about a "board & train" facility to work on her issues while boarding. Carolyn from Wagtime Dog Training is great. She works with shelter / rescue dogs and does "Boarding & Training" at SuperDogs in Merrimack NH.
