Looking for good Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant in Pgh Moved here about 5 years ago from Texas, and replying in [this other thread](http://www.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/comments/kawbc/im_looking_for_a_new_place_to_live_why_is/) spurred me to ask for some other suggestions on what restaurants I can try.
We've tried almost all the chains (Mad Mex, Don Pablos, El Campesino) and some smaller places which I can't recall the names of, but nothing yet has come close to what I grew up with in TX. They may be good, but just not the kind of tex-mex I've been used to.
What are your favorite Mexican/tex-mex restaurants?

Look out for Verde. It's opening in East End this fall. They're blowing up and making a point of offering authentic Mexican and mezcals. I'm pretty sure they're aiming to be on a Salt of the Earth-level, so I'm pretty excited to see what they'll produce. You can keep up with them on twitter@verdepgh or their blog. http://verdepgh.com/
