Lunch/Dinner traditional local place to eat? I read this thread and saw some great overall food suggestions ([https://www.reddit.com/r/york/comments/8y8r86/restaurants\_recommendations\_please/](https://www.reddit.com/r/york/comments/8y8r86/restaurants_recommendations_please/)) but was wondering if anyone could recommend something truly local. I am an American coming to the UK from Brazil. I'll be coming from Liverpool on a day trip after visiting Belfast, london and Paris so I will have been getting my fill of food from that part of the world.
Plan currently is to leave arrive early and leave on a thursday in november then go back the same day so I would be looking for lunch and dinner options. I'll be traveling solo if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance!

Stonegate yard is probably one of the best gastro-pubs in the city: http://www.stonegateyard.co.uk
Can any of my followers recommend an excellent restaurant in #York? I wonder if @YshireDalesMeat or @owentaylor_uk supply round there??
