Close to Loch Lochy is picturesque and quiet. Few walks around and close to Inverness and Fort William.

Most of the good low level walking that doesn't require good nav skills will be busy. This site is great for ideas, the link is for dog friendly accommodation in the Glen Coe area, beautiful but busy. There's lists of dog friendly acc. in all the areas on this link & also plenty of walks from very easy to super hard. Be aware that there could be (very likely) a lot of snow higher up at that time of year :) https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortwilliam/cottages_glencoe.shtml

Glencoe Mountain has wooden wigwams, basic but showers etc, not that expensive and dog friendly. Some of the best walking in the UK on the doorstep and a good base to travel from. Cottages can be quite cheap during these months as well.

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g186529-zfa9-Fife_Scotland-Hotels.html - I just googled this as there are some great walks in Fife with hills and flat bits and beaches - remember Travelodge will take 2 dogs but they charge £25 a night each :-( - could well be some cottages out in Elie and the East Neuk

Hi, looking for some advice, planning the west highland way for May.
Milngavie to Balamaha - stay at Balamaha bunkhouse.
Balamaha - Inveroran - stay at drovers...

I've stayed at Inveroran Hotel 3 times for the WHW, although it is a bit expensive it is very comfy and the staff are so welcoming. They do get booked up very early and quick. There isn't anything else in the area really apart from Wild camping or the Bridge Of Orchy Hotel. I've used the Blackwater Microlodges which are fab but the hostel does look good too. Callum the owner is great and very helpful
