Anyone know of any trustworthy and reasonable tree removal services in the area? Came out to this unfortunate site this morning... what's the average cost? We have to...

Gene Mccreesh, best in the business.

I, too, trust Lewis tree service. He is honest and reliable and a local small business. Lewis Rubin is the owner.

Many years ago, I used Apple Tree service. They did excellent work - the job was completed. Al very old and large tree fell between 2 homes. Access was limited; Apple Tree service has to bring in a crane. Did not contact home owners insurance, because, thankfully there was no other damage to properties or injuries. Get estimates from all recommended tree services, if this tree does not need to be removed asap. Be thankful no one was harmed. Good luck.

Willow Tree Service just removed our fallen tree for far below quoted price by Giroud.

A lot of folks on here recommend Apple Tree Service. I've never used them. Also I met the owner of Arader Tree Service, last weekend. Seemed like a decent guy. He's been in the business for quite a few years.

Same thing happened to us last week. But also took out our fence! We used Advanced Tree Care out of Ambler. Excellent work and reasonably priced.

i wouldnt make a homeowner's claim unless there was substantial damage. you will likely pay for it in increased premiums. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/think-twice-before-filing-home-insurance-claims-2013-10-16
