^^to the people talking about cleanliness of in home tattooers. without proper training they cannot be clean. period. go to a professional. period. I spend most of my time fixing tattoos that scratchers did. you are lucky if your tattoo turned out ok. go to Clinton Mayland in Afton for professional work, or bite the bullet and travel to Idaho falls or salt lake. it would be foolish not to. but, it's your body. if you want a crappy tattoo that's up to you.

I'm sorry thats what it turned into Brittney. Some people I guess dont like to be told that they are unhappy with something. I hope that you find a good person that you trust and does an excellent job. It is permanent and you need to be happy with it. you have been given A LOT of great choices. I have seen Charlies work and have thought it was great. My sis was just unhappy with how her's turned out. Thats all.

It's not where the artist works but more about proper training and licensing. Be careful in wyo. As they don't have any set laws on these two very important things. However I highly recommend Clinton Mayland who has all the above including a professional space to work out of. Not a home.

Do your research and look at people portfolios. There are some good artists all around but also depends on what you want. Amy Dowell is awesome for black & gray and very pretty tattoos, Thai Lee out of SLC is amazing artist for asian inspired, color, etc and some times makes trips to Jackson. Christian Buckingham is also an industry giant and makes trips to Idaho Falls occasionally but with Amy and Christian you need a lot of lead time because of demand. If you can get to SLC, Thai is at Zen Tattoo in Murray.

I have over 30 hours worth of ink. Mike Zimmer at 22 in Jackson has been my guy for years. He has been tattooing for a very long time and just got 1 st place in black and gray work at the Reno tattoo convention and 2 nd place at the slc convention. He's amazing and highly underrated. Clean lines, fast, affordable. I agree with Chris about doing your research. Think about what you want and choose someone that best represents that style. Personally I don't recommend seeing someone who has been tattooing less then 5 yrs.
