John, we got excellent work twice from Tom Lee Roofing in S.F., tho it's been more than 10 years since the latter.

Hi John - General Roofing repaired and replaced part of my roof several years ago now. It is fine - can't say particularly that it was inexpensive, or wonderful. But you might check them out: http://www.generalroof.com/ I think they're recommended pretty highly, or they used to be. Good luck!

So far, I've found an Advanced Roofing Service, recommended by Busto's Plumbing and Central Bay Roofing, both in Alameda.

Central Bay Roofing did ours. Fast, not crazy expensive and hasn't leaked:) Only negative was that they tried to weasel out of putting an eyebrow detail on the roof, since it's "just decorative". Nah uh, I want it there!

I highly recommend Precision Roofing - great price, outstanding work, very professional. What I was most impressed by was that at the end of every work day, everything was completely cleaned up, leaving not a trace of the fact that there was work being done on the house.

I got an appointment for an estimate from Central Bay Roofing and Westco Roofing. The others were either too busy, or didn't return my call.
