Larry, Did you try going to www.yp.com (Yellow Pages) and searching for a seamstress? (Or you might search for a tailor, which is probably what you actually need.) I searched for seamstress in Albany, NY and found at least a half dozen prospects.

There is a seamstress that I used who works in Circles in Stuy Plaza. I brought 2 full suits to be taken in and she did it well. Fast and reasonable to boot. Can't recall her name, but you can call over and see if she is still around.
