No, not symphonic metal bands, but oddly enough I was listening to NOMAD today and exactly you popped into my head. Check it out. It's symphonic in a special kind of why that uses sounds. Let me know what you think. Before you write it off. Think about how you would make similar sounds, and who would play the Didgeridoo. These are symphonic in a sense that hand around a didg which requires circular breathing to play well

http://www.nmjazz.org They keep a list of bands and upcoming shows. Scale, seasons, lemony lounge (yannis ), cooperage, zinc Outpost performance space has great jazz but no food. Le Chat Lunatique plays gypsy jazz all over town.

One of my friends does all sorts of specialty cakes and cupcakes and they are always beautiful and delicious (I'm speaking as the lucky recipient of serveral varieties of her cupcakes). Her name is Jo Anne Eller and she is local here in ABQ. Try searching FB with #jellercakes as she always tags her creations as such and you can see some of her stuff.

[Nothing Bundt Cakes](http://www.nothingbundtcakes.com) makes delicoius stuff. I hunt them down any time I go to a local farmers market or food fair. I don't know if they do a stereotypical wedding cake. [NM Pie Company](http://nmpiecompany.com/) is even farther from a traditional wedding cake. Their baked goods are fantastic. Frankly, they've been the final justification for going to a particular farmers market or food fair more than once. I don't have firsthand experience with any traditional wedding cake bakeries.
