Thai restaurant recommendations I like very stereotypical Americanized Thai food. Fried veggie spring rolls (I know...), Pad See Ew (with "traditional" broccoli, not...

Only Thai restaurant I've enjoyed around there is Jasmines. Their Tom Yum is great.

Saigon Bankok on elmwood downtown. Little pricey but so damn good..

Haha, since you asked for stereotypical Americanized Thai food, most of the suggestions on this list are good. Taste of Thai, Jasmine Thai, etc. are all good. If you want something that pushes a little closer toward authenticity, Sun Restaurant, Lin, and Family Thai (inside the West Side Bazaar) serve Burmese interpretations of Thai food, so the food is a little bit more regional and closer to the real thing. Saigon Bangkok, Pho Dollar, etc. offer Vietnamese interpretations of Thai food.

Jasmines is good. I also enjoy taste of Siam on Elmwood

Saigon Cafe on Elmwood is by far my fav. King & I is also really good but a far drive from the city.

I highly recommend Yummy Thai on Kenmore avenue across from St. Joe's High School. They have some pretty inexpensive lunch specials and I've never left unsatisfied. My favorite dish is the Pud Kee Mow, it's a stir fry with these big flat noodles and I get it with beef. I never see this place getting any business and I honestly can't figure out why (actually it's probably their stupid name). Delicious food

Only so many choices in Amherst. I heard Jasmin's is pretty good...though technically in Tonawanda. Taste of Thai in North Buffalo is my personal favorite. If you want to move a bit beyond thai check out the Westside Bazaare, Sun Restaurant in Blackrock or Pho Dolla (also on the westside since that's where most of Buffalo new wave immigrant groups live).

In Amherst, Saigon Bangkok on the corner of Maple/Transit is pretty good. I've heard good things about Thai Orchid Cafe on Evans, but I haven't been there myself.

Lin on Tonawanda Street and Crowley, across the street from Riverside Park. Burmese and Thai like Sun.
backupartist replied:
Sun food market on niagara or lin restaurant on tonawanda, both in the black rock area. Jasmine on nfb is good too, but much more americanized

Sun Restaurant (Niagara Street in Black Rock) is very good for Thai and Burmese food. I've had extremely good Pad See Ew there. It seems to be ridiculously popular these days, so call ahead. Taste of Siam on Elmwood across from the Lexington Coop is definitely pretty good. If you order something Thai hot there, they definitely won't disappoint.

I like Taste of Thai on Hertel and Taste of Siam on Elmwood the best. Same owner for both locations.

I haven't been there yet, but I'm going to The King and I on 10/6 because they are supporting Dining Out for Life that evening: https://www.facebook.com/events/1622633764692145
