My son works at Porter paints... they have "mis-tints" for about $5 a gal. --- this is good paint. We have found that the paints with "primer in them" ... cost more and still need a second or third coat. Depends on the color u r covering, and the smoothness of the wall. I like to start with KILLS, and then can usually get by with one coat of my color.

Sherwin Williams has a one coat paint and it does very well. I would highly recommend their paints. I don't like to double coat either.
