Get a (free) ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to Noord, then cycle to Marken / Monnickendam. No train necessary !

Take the train to Overveen (Central Station, track 1) and cycle through the national park to the sea and back. Wild horses and amazing bulls inclusive... And only 20 min away. ;-)

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug has some pretty nice hiking - it's woods and heathland, feels pretty remote. Train to Driebergen-Zeiss and you can walk from there. Google for routes.

[Fleurop](http://www.fleurop.nl/) is a big company that contracts local florists, I've used them a few times and it works fine. You can pay with credit card, so I assume it's not a problem to order from the US. Regardless of which website you use, you should be able to order something easily for $50. The Netherlands is a main exporter of flowers, so they're relatively cheap over here. If you have any questions, just let us know :).
