Jeff that store use to be called Raisins before it became Alpha Beta and they had a mini bakery. Their sugar cookies were huge and the best! They also made a yummy cake with bananas and cream. However, Priscilla's was the absolute bests in Garden Grove. That whole area went in the toilet in the 70's. It's now a Korean shopping area. The Italian deli on Brookhurst, Demicelli's, was my favorite and where we bought our holiday goodies...being Italian and all. The kids took it over and it went down hill fast. It later became a restaurant and sucked! I miss that place th most.

When I left Anaheim Memorial Hospital Histolgy Dept. after 5 years in 1977 they thru a going away party. The cake had on top, "Good-Bye Jim" and on the sides, "and good riddance you S.O.B" They called Priscilla's and found out my ex-wife Darla Joan worked there. She had found out it was my cake so she "decorated" it. Was pretty funny then and now, always did like her the most:0)

the Lapalma Chicken Pie shop has a wonderful bakery but not the same as Priscilla's. I had to order my wedding cake from Knotts not that was yummy
